Title: video clip flickers

I have been trying to get a video clip to play without flickering like crazy.
It is a special function "trigger" in the map. I've changed formats .avi , .wmv and quality from best to worst size from small to large ,diffrent bitrates ect.
Ive changed the frame-rate in players settings from no limit down to 30 ( video was 30 fps)
nothing seemed to matter it still flickerd very bad .
 plays fine in the little media preview window .

your monitor has a bad refresh rate? also is this SGDK1 or SGDK2? start of your post sounds like the original and end sounds like the second lol

well, it sounds like SGDK1 to me, which means the post is in the wrong forum.

Make sure that the "Modal" checkbox is checked when playing video.  Also, if that doesn't fix it, try different game resolutions.

Thanks very much durnurd , modal fixed it (some reason it thought that reffered to text box)
I knew it would be the 1 thing i didnt try.
It's 1.4.6 version so future posts will be in version 1 forum.

The rip plays exactly the same as that VOB for me, it is just when I play the rip in VDub or make a screenshot that I get the effect in the first post.

Are you sure the AVI sample has the effect and the VOB doesnt? If that is so then Im stumped.
