Title: .NET IDE (or maybe just a better editor)

I'm new to the .NET and Windows world.  Can someone point me to a good (and free) IDE?  Or at least a decent editor (I'm just using Notepad)

Visual C# Express is a free version of the the official C# IDE released by Microsoft.

You can also download other .NET IDEs, but there's no full .NET IDE available for free, at least not from Microsoft.
