Title: taekwon-do remake
Post by: Vincent on 2008-01-25, 03:04:20 PM
Hi everyone,

My fighting game project is going fine.  The thing slowing down now is the fact we are two on this project (me as a programmer and a fried as the artist), and I have done a lot of work with sgdk2, but I still haven't received the images from my artist friend.  To be able to program the game, I ripped images form a snes game (the game we're trying to recreate), but eventually, it will be our own images.

So I won't be continuing development until I receive these images.  But since I've done quite a lot of work (lot of actions, some custom code...) I would would really like to offer this work to the SGDK2 community.  It might not be much for an experienced developer, but I believe some less experienced people might be interested.

I don't have anywhere to post the project.  Does someone has a suggestion?  The zipped file containing the project is about 2 megs.

Thanks a lot!

rather try it here: http://sgdk2.enigmadream.com
bluemonk will surely say if he would like to have your prototype at the official place.

I approved it, but I hope you will update the submission to remove the unnecessary binary files since they make the download much bigger.  Is it possible to see the priority switching in the game at this point?  I could only figure out how to move horizontally and attack.  Not much else would happen.

Hi bluemonkmn!

I updated the file.  (I removed the 5 dll and the exe file, is there somtehing else that I must remove?)
I also included some very basic instructions to exmplain how to play the fighter, etc.

Thanks!

You should have been able to update your existing submission instead of posting a new one, but no problem -- I can delete the old one.
