Title: The zeroSpace theme
Post by: bluemonkmn on 2005-03-14, 06:25:06 AM
The name of the default theme in use on these forums is "zeroSpace".  You can switch to the default theme originally delivered with phpBB by visiting your profile and selecting an alternate theme (subSilver is the only other one installed right now).  But I wonder if anyone finds the "zeroSpace" title at the top misleading -- do I need to get the words "Scrolling Game Development Kit" more prominently displayed up there somehow?  Any ideas?

I went ahead and made a SGDK logo for the zerospace template. If you want to use it its at:

It was a good effort durnurd.  I couldn't have done better myself, and I would have used it.  But it looks like we're fortunate enough to have a pro here to which nobody can compare ;).  Thanks, "Pax"!

At least you get the little light bulb above your "Pum"s head, durnurd   :)

Hm... this is probably the first anyone has heard of the name of that creature.

Yeah, probably.  I feel I have a special connection to the pum ;D so of course I felt bad when they blew up!

Anyway, yes, very nice new picture.  Definetely gives off the sense of "Not ZeroSpace" any more. :)

I think ZeroSpace is too dark. and the other is too light... (and bland because its everywhere) i sure wish there was a third option...

Well, I don't have time to go theme hunting right now, but if someone wants to suggest something that I can just drop into place, I'll consider it.

Well, I like this theme.  Good contrast, easy to read, easy on the eyes (because of the high contrast and dark background colors).

It's easy to change the stylesheet to make some colors different, but then they wouldn't blend in with the graphics.

If anybody wants to look through a bunch of themes, then a good siteto look at is here: PHPBB2 Templates (http://www.phpbbhacks.com/templates.php)
