has anybody got spore? ;D
-
my sister in college does, its cool!
-
I'm hoping for a PS3 version in the near future.
-
tell me when you get it, we can share creatures ;D
-
My nephew got in trouble for trying to hack into it and change his planet... Apparently, somebody recognized this, and he can't play it anymore...
(The cops will burst out of freakin' nowhere and arrest you, man!)
But no, he wasn't actually arrested...

Spore isn't an online game, is it? Why would anyone care if you hacked your planet in a stand-alone game?
-
I thought it was online? I know next to nothing about spore, so I'm probably wrong, but isn't it a mmorpg?
-
its like (as far as i know) you create a creature and you can post it online and show it to others. (my sister still has the trial version, so she cant do much on it)
-
It's a standalone game, but your world can be populated by other players' content in an asynchronous way. They're never actually playing with you, just providing content.
-
i think rather than someone punished him for hacking his own game, he damaged his own game. he should re-install it.
and yes, it is a stand-alone game, which downloads the creatures from other players to live on your planet. this feature is really nice.
every time i start spore, i can read what other players did to my creatures. ^^
"player0815 declares war on Black Beauty" for example ;D
-
He is a master hacker... The inner mechanisms of his mind are an enigma!
SHOW SOME RESPECT, INFADELS!!! >:(
(joking)

i just found out they made a version of Spore for the Nintendo DS (which is what i have) and you can play a demo of it free on their website (spore.com? i think thats what is its, you can also go to nintendo's website and search for the game page and click on the link to its website)
-
yes, but i has only the first phase of the entire game, the cell period (i think).
