Post by: SmartBoy16 on 2009-03-22, 09:47:14 PM
I just got one quick queston, since i plan to use SGDK2 pretty soon, If I develop games on SGDK2 with FMOD, since it is free, can i still sell the game? If not, is there a way i can sell it?

I believe you would have to purchase a commercial license for FMod or use a different audio system.

As far as SGDK2 itself goes, I'm not sure, you could start by looking over any related material in the SGDK2 documentation.

It looks like FMOD is $100 for a shareware / hobbyist license looking to make a profit.  There are other ways to integrate sounds into SGDK2 projects, though, especially if you don't need to play MOD files (just MP3, WAV or MID files).  I haven't tried any others, but I'm pretty sure we could find some if we looked.
