Title: StackOverflow.com
Post by: bluemonkmn on 2009-04-09, 04:41:10 AM
Hey, if there are any other geeks out there who just feel compelled to answer programming questions like I do, you might enjoy stackoverflow.com (http://stackoverflow.com/).  Or if you just need prompt answers to your (well-defined) programming questions, it's pretty good for that too, I suppose, but I don't use it for that much.  Durnurd pointed it out to me, and I've been using it for a little over a week, and now I'm kind of addicted.  My reputation has skyrocketed from 0 to 490 in that time by answering questions.  Just this morning one of my answers got accepted for 110 points because there was a "bounty" of 100 points on the question, and it also got voted up once.  What a rush! :)

There is a site dedicated to Real Time OS questions that I frequent that is much the same. My reputation is not nearly as high as yours, but I do a steady trickle of answers.

Have you been to rentacoder? I do a bit of work there as well. It's good for a few extra bucks here and there. I mostly end up doing peoples CS homework for around $20 ;D

I may have checked it out at one point, but never actually done anything there.  I can't remember.
