Wow we need some of those folks contributing to SGDK2 -- or more games from you :).  What happened to your game -- I think we never got to see the final version here?

ah errg..... well.... maybe. classical motivation problem. there's still only my test level. i think i stopped when i was making a bilingual title screen or so....

BUT WAIT .... mister, you got me.
i just reviewed the last version and decided that that is, what you will get. NOW. f*** the german texts, there are only three words in the entire game or so. well, i was about to make a help menu and an introduction, but who needs that?
just move around with the arrow keys and throw seeds by hitting space. you have to find five fountains/wellsprings, sometimes they are not easy to see. look for little white drops sparkling from the ground.
don't fly into the shiny sparks, they are dangerous flashes =)
ah, there used to be a nice kirbyesque background music, dunno why it isn't there.

also, i tried it 2 times to upload at the games/project section, but failed.
here is ist now:

I see that I limited the uploaded project size to 10,000 KB, and your project is slightly larger than that.  I increased it to 15,000 KB if you want to try again.  (It looks like I can't download from the link above unless I have/register a mediafire account.)

Bluemonk, there's just a bit of a delay before the download link shows.

There we go.  The MediaFire UI was a bit too busy/complicated for me to figure out what to click to download the file :-[.  I will try posting it on the project listing myself and see if I see the same problem.  But that will have to wait until later.  I'm out of time this morning.

I got a Direct3D error trying to run the application; is it just me?  Did it work for you, bluemonk?

Well, It doesn't work for me neither.  I get a dll not found error for the fmodex.dll .  My guess is that it is a dll used for SGDK2 rather than SGDK2.1 .  I don't have the dll of SGDK2 and I don't find the link where SGDK2 was.  Was it removed now that SGDK2.1 is out?

And yet another error -- I started out getting an FMOD error, but when I copied FMODEX.DLL into the directory, then I get a serialization error while trying to execute Start_Menu_und_Save.

Allright, got it working.  I found my old tkd remake game at home that was in SGDK2 version, I copied all the SGDK2 dll in the folder with mistraal.exe and it works great!

Whoa!!!  :surprise:  It looks great!
Well done Tanja!  I wish I had such fine graphics for my game!  You made them yourself?  ;D
Could you provide your project file?  I would like to see how you arranged your tiles, your layers, etc!  It really gives a great illusion of distance!  The stars that appear as the zeppelin is going up are awesome too!!! :)  The animation of the plants and the moss is fantastic also!

Congratulations! :)

How did you make it work?  What versions of what files did you have to copy?  I keep getting SerializationException.

Okay, I'm home now, I'm going to give the dll and versions I am using to make Mistraal work:

dllversion
d3dx9_30.dll9.12.589.0
fmodex.dll0.4.6.1
Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.dll9.5.132.0
Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.dll9.12.589.0
Microsoft.DirectX.DirectInput.dll5.4.0.2904
Microsoft.DirectX.dll5.4.0.2904
Reflect.dll1.0.0.0

(not sure if they are all essential, I didn't bother to verify)

Hope it helps! :)

Well, I can't figure it out.  I've got all the same files, but I still get SerializationException.  Do you have a 64-bit OS?  I'm running on Windows XP (32-bit).

Nothing special about my OS: I've XP too.
