Title: SGDK ~ Things I Never Realized
Post by: tprime on 2010-12-30, 04:22:31 PM
With a bit more experience, and a busted laptop, I decided to use SGDK for prototyping my games.

Seems you can make some advanced games if you think things in smaller steps. I can't explain what I mean by this, but maybe when I actually do something I never thought I can do, then I can explain.

Number One:

Never realized you could have customized your toolbar in SGDK.

You can customize the toolbar in SGDK 1.x?  How?

Instead of clicking the icon, like the map editor and tileset editor, you click the background of it. Best to click the space between the "Run Game" and "Tilesets".

A window will then pop up. You can rearrange the icons or remove them or add a seperator.

However, I think it will reset once you close out SGDK.

Hm... I guess I forgot about that feature of the toolbar control from VB6.

The good thing is that it is not as important compared to the other things you had to update.
