Bluemonkmn, does the b in blue stand for Ben and the M in monk stand for Marty?
-
Very astute -- yes, that's part of the reason I chose this name.
-
And what about the "mn" at the end? Does that stand for Minnesota?
-
Yes, but no extra points for that one ;)
-
Aww... :(
My best googling only brings up some jazz album... Is that the other part of the reason you chose that name?
-
Nope, I didn't know anything about the jazz name when I came up with this name... people have mentioned it to me before, though... that there was some jazz player with the same name. The rest of the reason for this name is not like "aha, of course"... I don't think. There aren't really any secrets to the name :). It just seemed fitting and the matching initials was the happy coincidence that made me decide it must be the right one to choose... about 15 years ago.

i know this seems strange but i thought he just liked monks and his favourite colour was blue but i got a bit suspicious when i seen bluemonkmn on the end
-
hmmmm...strange...I guess that doesn't make you very astute then does it? ;)
-
Well, the fact that I like blue and monks is the other half of the reason I chose this name.
-
Blue is a good color.
I can't see the monks part...You're talking about like monestary stuff right?
or are you referring to monkeys...because theyre cool.
-
Well, there are many kinds of monks that I think of (none in which I mean monkey, though I like those too). I like their simple lifestyle and positive outlook. Tibetan and other Asian monks are particularly interesting I think. I like to identify with someone that the world could be full of and be a pleasant place to live. I wouldn't want the world to be full of "Sephiroths" or even "MegaMans"... that world would be way too intense. As Immanuel Kant said with his categorical imperative, "Act only according to that maxim by which you can at the same time will that it would become a universal law".
Erm... now I'm just sounding elitist. Ack, and using words like "elitist" doesn't help either :)

i never noticed the MN before... lol
