Well, here it is: http://www.geocities.com/sam_2d_online/st2.zip
I had plans to make 10 levels but recently have been a lot more into graphics and web design stuff than gamedev so I figured I might aswell send it in. Maybe at some point I will create all ten levels, but for now It is complete but with 7 levels. :)

Hm, it's going to be a busy week for me. I still have to post a new game from eric2222. But new games are good! Hope I can post them both by the end of this week.
-
thanks, no rush.
-
Did you forget to reset the starting map to level 1?
-
ohhhh yaaa.... When I was testing it going through the whole game I had to fix something in the last level so I changed it, I guess I forgot to change t back. I'll fix it in a minute and reupload it.

There we go, The same URL as before. :)

Heh, I can definately see the difference TileStudio made for the second installment. At least, I assume that's how you made the new graphics. One thing I'm noticing is some serious linearity. For example, the "lava ball" being right next to the lava. Maybe it's just my taste, but here's my two cents: it's usually really cool if the player has to jump over the lava (maybe moving platforms, small ledges, etc), they get to the other side, find the lava ball, then go back. What you have right now is an obstacle (the lava) that doesn't need to be avoided. You don't have to even get near it to get the lava ball... just a suggestion. Kinda like (and I know you didn't do this one) putting a key in front of the door. You did a good job on keeping the keys down path A and the door down path B. I guess thinking of the lava as a lock might make sense. A very deadly lock. A very warm, slightly luminous, deadly lock.
Wow, I just spent a lot of time saying something really simple...
Word of the day: Pleonasm - The use of more words than necessary to express an idea :P

You and durnurd must be getting your word of the day from the same source. He told me about that word yesterday. I think I suffer from it. I was surprised that it ended with "asm" instead of "ism".
Woah, way off topic... Sorry folks :)
-
Huh... maybe that's where I got it from. I dunno.
And now I guess I'm off-topic...
-
hey guess what, i think im going to start speedy turtle III. oooh, exciting, Ill use the suggestions y'all gave me. Maybe, just maybe, I'll redo the graphics AGAIN!!!yay...maybe not...who knows, that decision will be made within seconds after i click submit and close this window...whoops, i think i just made that decision, I sat there staring at the screen for too long and it crossed my mind, this little marquee went by in my head saying, "What are you stupid or something lil boy?? why the hell would you want to make MORE Graphics??"...I think you get the point. Anyways, I'm off, to...S.G.D.K.....muahahahaha...
...
gheez you know you're hyper when... ;D

So are you planning to have music/sfx for this one? If you want I could send you a few midis. I always keep, like, 10 or so very simple songs on hand to be expanded in the future. Just let me know.
-
Oh man, that'd be awesome. I'll give you credits on the title screen. Since, right now I only have some crappy sound effect programs that can only edit sounds, and, my sound recorder is broken I wouldn't be able to do anything.
Please email me them [ sam_2d_online@yahoo.ca ]. Just send me as many as you can.
BTW, I started Level 1, It's almost finished. It has some new features, well, I guess actually I mean, a lot more variety and a feature taken from Speedy Turtle I. It's got, Clouds, Outside, and Underground, A Cloud Ball [ turns you into cloud turtle, who can walk on clouds without faling through ] , a shovel, [ turns you into shovel turtle, who can dig ].

Sounds good then. I think the first course of action would be to let me know what the level themes are. I'll change the instruments to match. 'Cause we all know that a sitar means desert and vibraphone means ice.
And let's not forget the best part of midis... seriously small files!
I think I'll keep in touch by PM to keep from filling the topic with back and forth conversation...
