One of my maps has some sort of error when i try to edit it, it says automation error you click OK then it says Error editing map: Create Tileset requires an open display then all the other maps i have start to say Automation Error i click OK then Error editing map: Display must be open to flip when i try to edit them
how do you fix this?
-
eugh...ive never found a way to fix that...wait till BM and durnurd show up...Usually when I get this I just get rid of my project, everything seems to get all corrupted as I try to fix it...
-
I've fixed it before but it was a complete fluke and 1 have no idea what i done
-
you're not saving all your maps as 1 map file are you? ???
-
No i'm not

can you do that? i thought it would overwrite your other map
-
when i began i did... but... hehe.. it DOESN'T WORK!!! it gave me all kinds of errors...
-
If you can post your project somewhere where I can download it I could probably figure out what's going on.
-
NAH! don't worry about it it's only the menu level and i'll just remake it i was just asking because it's happened before and i wanna try and avoid it happening again
-
Well, sooner or later, someone is going to have to show me this problem if we want to stop recreating levels whenever someone hits it ;)
If you've got it handled this time, though, carry on, and good luck to you.
-
Well, I'm pretty sure I could make the error happen =D.
I'll go start a project and screw around wit it for a while.
It usually happens when I try to resize certain tilesets and stuff.
-
gheez this is stupid. the one time I try to get an error by attempting to resize the tileset without corrupting the map everything goes fine. figures.
Ill play around with this later, but for now, I think it could be to do with tilesets of the same name
-
I believe it does happen if one resizes the tileset horizontally to add more tiles off to the right (without using the tileset slicer, of course).

when durnurd told me there was a newer version than what i had i downloaded it and it fixed the problem must have been one of the things you fixed bluemonkmn?
