the sad thing is though you cannot conect to the internet with it...dial up. :(  :'(  this means i cannot get any updates or any VC/WiiWare games.

It's not that that's the problem, you need a wireless router.

Still it's going to be very impractical to try to use a Wii with Dial-up isn't it?  You'd have to make some computer dial the ISP every time you wanted to connect to the network, and then the speed would be pretty limited.

i found a wireless router and hooked up my DS to dial up. unfortunately, after about a few uses i think the device may have overheated at some point and now it doesn't work (waste of $20... >:( i dont recommend it). plus, everything was jerky whenever i tried to play Mario Kart, which turned out into many unfair races (like finishing one lap in 3 seconds). i think i have a friend who has broadband so i could just hook it up there.

Serious? That sounds cool for me?  ;D

I can use that on my friends.

then your friend would have to be the one on dial-up and you with the broadband

Oh, I only know 1 guy with D-up. But he doesn't have a DS.

what actually happened once is i was playing mario kart online, i waited for about 5 minutes for just one opponent to race against and he action replayed his game to get only blue shells, which always hit the first player directly. so i just quit that match. i hate cheaters.  >:(
