Hey, anyone know of any good freeware cursor creators? I downloaded one but it wasn't that great, it could only make cursors 32x32 non-transparent.

When I want to create a cursor I just use the one built into Visual Studio. And Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/default.aspx) are now free downloads from Microsoft. That's a lot of overhead to have installed if all you want is a cursor editor, but Visual Studio 2005 is a pretty cool package to have if you're into programming, and they seem to target it specifically at game programmers. The free version is not actually called "Visual Studio 2005 Express". It comes in the form of separate packages for each language: Visual Basic 2005 Express (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/), Visual C# 2005 Express (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualcsharp/), Visual C++ 2005 Express (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/), Visual J++ 2005 Express (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualj/).

Actually, the Express Editions do not have cursor editors that I'm aware of. I just downloaded "Axialis" a few days ago to create several cursors and animated cursors. It's not freeware, but there's a 30-day free trial. If your plan is to make cursors just once, it'd be a good program for that, but if you want to continue to do it over a long period of time, it's not your answer.
