this is a link to a good platformer named N it's about it has over 500 levels so you'll probably never finish it but it is a very addictive game you can even make your own levels! its only about 2MB so bandwidth shouldnt be a problem

Glest (http://www.glest.org/en/downloads.html): open-source. It's a 3-d real time strategy game with all the basic staples: tech-trees, resource management, etc.

Netstorm (http://www.netstormhq.com/download.php?view.1): abondonware. Activision released it in 1997, but sales were poor. A group of fans took the game and set up unofficial servers. It now has free online play. The concept is pretty unique. I'd call it Warcraft meets Tetris.

Super Mario Blue Twilight DX (http://www.caiman.us/scripts/fw/f1686.html): fan game. Imagine the moves of SM64 in a 2d world.

How come you have so much to say about everything all of a sudden, bat?  I will tell you that "Fanatic" is the highest rank there is as far as post count goes (if that's what you're after) ;).  Ranks beyond that come from demonstrated expertise with GameDev.

www.download.com this is a site i get heaps of games off i also got SGDK from there

I think the version of SGDK on download.com is not up to date (1.3.2).  You may want to consider downloading the latest version (1.4.6) from here (http://gamedev.sf.net)

Oh yeah, download.com did a stupid thing, I think, by starting to charge authors to update their free software.  So I can't keep that one up to date, at least not last time I checked..

i thought they would just do it for free if they charge you to update software you're not making money out of then you are just not going to update it at least i wouldnt

I just went and checked again and it looks like I did submit version 1.4.5 to download.com and it was supposed to be processed two years ago, but they're still "processing" the submission!  So I sent an email to their support to ask what's up with the ridiculous delay.

I found another good game recently: Battle for Wesnoth (http://www.wesnoth.org/). It's a strategy game based on a hexgrid. It takes into account terrain, time of day, all sorts of stuff. Individual units are given unique stats, and each unit gains experience points when they're in battle. You can recall high level units from previous battles, too. I think it's pretty cool.

Games that I've played, but can't find now:
Wonderboy (the first, not the blonde cavesman, for Commodore 64)
Gianna Sister (Commodore 64)
Millennium (Amiga 500)
North&South (Amiga 500)
Sensible Soccer (Mondial edition, for Amiga 500)
... long time ago i've finded a program called Scummbar: an emulator to play all the oldest Lucasarts-Games... but this program was in italian... does a similar programm exist in english or french or spanish or japanish (too!) version?
Please, help me! (... i'm hugry...)

ScummVM is a Scumm emulator that sounds exactly like Scummbar.  Of course, you have to actually have the game files, but once you do, ScummVM is the answer to your questions.

Also, Scumm game creation was not limited to LucasArts.  A great game called Beneat a Steal Sky was another Scumm game, now released as freeware and freely available to download at the ScummVM site here (http://www.scummvm.org/).  They also have for download Flight of the Amazon Queen (I've not played this particular game).  Here (http://www.scummvm.org/compatibility.php)'s a list of the games it supports, if you can get your hands on the game itself.

Scumm, for those who don't know, is an acronym for "Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion", basically a way to quickly develop the game (Maniac Mansion) after the engine was created.  This works for any type of "graphic text adventure" game, by which I mean games where you still interact with things by using verbs, but this time there's pictures, and you simply click on the things you want to do, like click on the word "take" at the bottom, then click on the thing you want to take.  Many adventure games were created with Scumm (and it got an homage in the Monkey Island games at the Scumm bar) but alas, the adventure game has gone the way of the dodo bird that you can still download or find on eBay or something.  Because Dodo birds are like that.
