Is someone gonna jack the Amazon .com building with ski masks on and physically steal or damage the machines that our data is stored on?
Is someone gonna bust the encryption and hack in via software?

Ever heard of Big Brother, Law? Robbers aren't the only people who would like your personal information... Might I just mention this Wiki article?

The oldest living house cat on record lived to be twenty-eight years old. And yes, that is in human years.

I updated the project; details are in the Remository.

The car template is delivered with SGDK2.  You could just download it again?

No, no, I had the entire BlueCar sprite, rules and all. I happened to export that one as a sprite template a while before my game got deleted (which had four at the time), so I was able to make what you see in my template from it. Me writing all the rules from scratch had nothing to do with me losing data; I wrote it that way at the very start and just used the car graphic since it looks way better then I would have made.
I may get back to making a racing game, but I figured I'd let everyone use my cars in the meantime, or incase I don't get around to starting my project over.

1) It doesn't avoid overlapping solids if you pull up next to a wall and turn, or hit a wall head on
I did that intentionally to make it easier to avoid crashing into walls, but I guess I made it a bit too large.

2) You can turn when you're not moving, which seems odd.  Did you not use the existing car sprite as an example?
Complete oversight on my part. I actually only used the graphic from the car sprite, though. I wrote the rules from scratch.
You see, I originally had a racing game being made but some computer issues resulted in it getting deleted. All I had left was the BlueCar that I exported as a template and a few of my graphics that I saved as a PNG file, so I pieced together this template from them. Guess I'll update them sometime and fix these issues.

... I named him Cyclo in one project.
I've just been calling him Mr. Happy-Fun. Wonder if his creator ever gave him a name?

Ok, I think I got it right this time. Glad I could put in the rest of the files, though; I included a small map that demonstrates the Sprite.

Oh, and I know this is off-topic but does the one-eyed creature from SHFL have a name?

I tossed out anything that wasn't a car sprite, and it doesn't compile anymore. That's what you wanted, right?

Ever heard of a freeware program called 'Anim8or'? It does 3D modeling, animation, has a large community, and its easy to use. You might be able to make something good with it. Or maybe find someone there that would be interested in your project.

Can you tell us anything about the game you're making? Or is it still too early to say?

Is it 'GL_ARB_texture_rectangle' that you're referring to? If so, that will only freeze up the map editor sometimes (you just need to reopen it, no data loss involved) and the weather effects won't work, asides from fade to color.
Besides for the technical issues, is everything else ok?

Sooo, it was a spam tool? :scared:
Major apalogies...

I think we all should report suspicious like this if it happens again.
What other things should we be looking for? When a certain spam thread appeared recently, the user was later listed as doing 'unkown action'. Would that be a sign of foul play?

You wanted the English version, right? Here's the link I found;

Rather expensive, what exactly is it used for?

too bad they both have a lot of the worst games out of any console anyway... :S
I can think of plenty of good games for it. What were you hoping for it to have?

But c'mon, Mario's a plumber for Pete's sake... a plumber in a race car?
Since when have games needed to be logical?
But really, Mario Kart DS is a high-quality racing game that people still play years later after a console sequel was released. It's good.
It was also based on the N64 version of the game, which was one of the best.

I don't understand why all games aren't listed in the project listing.  Wouldn't it be just as easy to add a listing for "all those games" (assuming there are a significant number, which may be a big assumption) to the SGDK2 project listing (aka Remository)?

Not a significant number for sure, but besides for TonyX and SmartBoy16's sites, I came across this.

http://sites.google.com/site/overgrownoatmeal/Home

Anything made with SGDK2 that's 100MB has to be worth checking out, ya' know?

How about we make a list of sites where SGDK games have been posted at (revolution studios, for example) so that newcomers searching for a game kit see more games than what's in the remository.
People would be more inclined to using SGDK if they sampled some nicely made games for it, right?
