Off-Topic / Favorite cancelled tv show
« on: 2007-11-07, 09:51:15 PM »
just doing something different today, does anybody have a favorite tv show that is or going to be cancelled. My favorite would be Invader Zim. It aired on nickelodeon in 2001, but was cancelled before the second season aried. It very funny with random comments said almost every minute("Hi floor! Make me a SAMMICH! ;D, GIR). though i never saw it on tv (STUPID BUNNY EARS!!! >:( >:(), i saw the dvds and they me laugh til i would almost die! my favorite is the "assumed finale" christmas episode, The Worst X-Mas Ever any way, my score would be a 9.9 out of 10. what do you think?

my old computer died (:'(:D:D:D:D:D) im looking for a new one. does anybody know where there are good computers for around $300-600 with xp or vista? preferably one for gaming, so it should have some type of powerful graphics card(my old one stinks anyway!:P)

is there going to be tile matching any time soon? i was just wondering.  ???

also i think that there should be toolbar buttons again. (i havent downloaded the beta version yet so i dont know waht it looks like yet. stupid dialup! >:()

plus i think some kind of wizard should be nice to automatically create a minimal game quickly, including sprite "preset rules", and you can edit things later.

just my thoughts... :D

Help, Errors, FAQ / 24 bit vs 32 bit
« on: 2007-08-25, 05:55:05 AM »
i was just wondering, if SGDK2 involves having alpha transparency, shouldn't a 32 bit graphics card be required for running SGDK2. My (outdated) graphics card only supports up to 24 bit color and cannot correctly view PNG graphics without clogging up my system. (usually i can have up to two large size pictures doing this)

Off-Topic / A Game of Words Shareware (v.1.0)
« on: 2007-08-14, 11:20:43 AM »
Here's a game i made using Dev-C++. I started this two years ago and i thought i should release it by now. note that this is a shareware version and a full version is not avalable right now. the game is very limited (at least you can gamble) so not very meny things can be done. If you have suggestions post then here. hope you like it.

here's a way that i used to duplicate sprites.

not that the file is ONE MEG so it may take a while. Dial up users may take about 2 minutes to load

except that the limit doesnt let me do that, so i'll just tell you after i upload it to my website (i've already reached the "quota" so i need to wait a while to do that)

General Discussion / import SGDK 1 projects to SGDK 2
« on: 2007-07-26, 09:40:13 AM »
here's a suggestion for the next SGDK2 alpha. i think there should be a way to import SGDK1 files to SGDK2. right now i am using the SGDK2 alpha6 (the map editor doesn't work though because my graphics card doesn't support multiple alpha levels for transparency >:(.) and i think it's a good program. i am still confused about what the differences between framesets and tilesets are. ???
