it sounds like your graphic card isn't powerful enough to run alpha blending. (translucency I think) Do you know what type of graphics card you have?

See the thread about supported and unsupported video cards.  It tells you how to find out what video card you have, and also has some information about some of the supported and un-supported video hardware.

looked up some stuff on that graphics card. I found this.

Quote
The newest S3 Prosavage DDR drivers are available here:
ProSavage DDR Driver Page

Via Graphics recommends; you attempt to get the latest drivers, first from the manufacturer of the PC that uses their chipset.

They also recomment that you run their utility to identify exactly the chipset they use:
SavageDDR Chip Set Identifier

One other consideration, Via has discontinued support for some of their earlier chipsets and acknowledges they are no longer compatible with XP and/or Directx.

The video card is not such compatible with most new 3d games..

That's not surprising. It's not a real high-performance video card. Fine for desktop stuff, but that's about it.

If you download the latest drivers and find that it doesn't work, let me know so I can add it to the not-supported list.
