up until the Microsoft site crashed, straight from the source. There is likely a bittorrent release however.

Windows 7 has it's first release candidate out.

You can download it here;
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx

Burn the .iso to a DVD and use the product key they give you, it works with full functionality until March 2010.

Here's what's new in the OS,
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/whats-new.aspx

(Also something they don't mention there, is that it's greatly more responsive than Vista.)

Have it installed as a dual boot at the moment, nice OS, although expectedly buggy. My wifi cut out whenever I played an online game for more than 30 second bursts, one or two of my programs didn't work and programs crashed a few times unexpectedly.

It's looking good so far!

EDIT:// if your hardware doesn't yet have windows 7 drivers, the vista drivers work perfectly. ;)

I have it dual booted with XP at the moment. Make a new partition, and install windows 7 on that, it does all the boot menu stuff for you.

Post the hardware spec's here and I'll tell you if you can run Windows 7.

If it can run XP or vista it should be able to run 7 just fine. Mine is snappier on 7 than XP. ;)
