mismatched error

hello im new at making games and i followed the quick start tutorial all the way to the end and when i go to test out the lvl i get the mismatched error am i doing something wrong?

If there's nothing wrong with your computer (i.e. it's not too old) then yes, you're doing something wrong.  What, exactly, you are doing wrong, is not something we can assertain without further help from you.  Either post all of your project files somewhere to be viewed or explain exactly what you did at each step, or just go through the tutorial again, slowly, reading each step twice before doing it.

The first things I would double-check are the player settings dialog and the Maps dialog.  Make sure all the parameters on those dialogs match what the quick tutorial suggests, and that the right fields are filled in with the right numbers.  My guess is that some field is blank or has letters in it when it should have numbers.

A problem I have often found is that if you enter numbers which are too lage into the boxes which accept data about how close to let the player get to the edge of the screen. If they are too high (eg. over half the width of the screen) It comes up with an error.

i figuerd out what i did wrong it was when i placed the new path start and didn't left click i misread it so thank you again for everyones help
