Funny thing about these new forums is...You can't post if logged in. You can't do
anything at all if logged in, in fact, beyond view messages.
So I'll post this as a guest:
I just got a Music Orchestration program for my birthday, and
this is my first attempt at something musical. It's in OGG format, so you'll need to download the OGG codec (
here) to be able to play it in Windows Media Player (and, hence, SGDK; Yes, I've tested it, it does work).
By the way BlueMonk, there's a definite idea for something to look into for SGDK 2: Giving the option of compressing WAV and MP3 files to OGG files and also including the ability to play OGG files within the game. They're better than WAVs because they compress like MP3 files and they're better than MP3 files because they loop like WAVs (that is, saving them doesn't puta a 10ms blank space on both ends, like MP3 files have). The only bad thing is that they're not standard, so y ou need the codec. But it's open source, and if id Software uses it, you know they can't be wrong!
