Speedy Turtle II
« on: 2006-04-18, 08:11:29 PM »
I've finally started making Speedy Turtle II. If you're wondering about the first one it's three levels long with the worst graphics ever. I know the graphics in ST II are nothing special but compared to the old ones they're amazing. I plan to have 10 levels and have gotten three done already. Although the three I have done are the same theme as the first three levels in ST I (Cave, Underwater, Desert). The new levels are totally different otherwise.
Here are some screens:

You could just call your new one "Speedy Turtle" and pretend that your old one was just a step in the development of it and noone would have to know :)

I would call it that but Speedy Turtle I is the first game I actually completed. I was very proud of the game when I first finished it and think it deserves some credit ;D .

Oh, here I'm thinking that every game worth considering is a game that someone will submit to me for inclusion in the listing, but I guess that's not necessarily true.  I suppose there are a lot of cool games out there that aren't being added to the listing.  I hope that at least the best do make their way to me... I'd like to see whats up in the world of GameDev.

Well, I'm not proud of it because of how good it is (I think many people would not like this game). I'm proud of it because it is good for how skilled (not very) I was when I made it. But I'm going to put this game on my site and you can download it if you want. If you think it's good enough feel free to list it. When I finish Speedy Turtle II I'm going to submit it.

Yeah, I played it. It didn't strike me as a great game, but it wasn't bad. It held my attention for a few minutes. I mean, you've already mentioned the things I would've listed as needing improvement: graphics and length. I don't really have much to add.
But man, that is one fast turtle.
