GameDev 1.4.6 on Shelves at Best Buy
« on: 2006-06-15, 05:22:37 AM »
It's been a while since GameDev 1.x had any news worth posting, but this is something worth mentioning.  I even decided to post a new article on the homepage for it.  Check it out.

I actually purchased the IG Collection recently for the sole reason of obtaining the included mystery game development tool which they conveniently failed to mention by name.  Lo & Behold it was the Scrolling Game Development Kit! Which I already have! ::)  ...and have been following for the last few years...   :(   Sure hope you guys at least got a buck or 2 out of the deal...probably not though... hey! free publicity!

It does show the screenshot on the inside cover of the box.  But I don't think BlueMonk would have gotten any money out of the deal.  Everything was free, after all.

Yup, no money for it, but a buck or 2 certainly doesn't mean as much to me as seeing screenshots of my software in a box on shelves at Best Buy!  8)

Also, the box that I have doesn't make it much of a mystery -- next to the screenshots it flat out says "Scrolling Game Development Kit".
