sprite switches facing wrong way

im making a mario game and i read a post about having a jumping sprite and a walking sprite. i did that and it works great except for one thing.  say im facing right-when i push ''up'' mario changes into ''jumpingmario'' and since the first frame of jumpingmario is facing left he will automatically face left. (it does the same thing when i land ???) That wuold be great if you could help me without scripting cuz i dont know how to script... :'(

The forum search tool is your friend.  This has been addressed many times before.  There has to be the same number of frames of animation in the sprite state you're switching from and to.
