Jousting
« on: 2007-11-23, 05:11:22 AM »
always wanted to play a jousting game, haven't seen one before though.

Decided yesterday, I would make one. (summer holidays soon, woot!)

One twist... You ride a motorcycle, not a horse. :o

It would be a game where you simply play against a bot, no stages or seperate maps. (or if I cant get a decent bot working, a player)

Ive seen jousts with and without shields, (most without) but shields would add more depth to the gameplay, so I will implement them.

Im thinking for controls have the arrows on your keyboard move your shield, while w,a,s,d move your lance. (or other way around)
It would be a difficult concept, but I think would be the best method.
Jousting isn't meant to be easy, and if every time you can get your shield and lance perfectly aligned then it would be too easy.

Btw, it would be a top-down camera angle, makes the most sense.

What do you people think? Any ideas that would improve it?
