I decided to switch to an entirely new plug-in to handle downloads.  I just spent half the day manually transferring projects from the old listing to the new listing, and decided to upgrade a few of them to work with SGDK 2.2 as I went. The old project listing is still there for the time being under the "Old Project Listing" menu heading. The "Projects" menu heading now links to the new jDownloads-based file management system. It'd be a good time to review any listings you care about and see how they look/work. The projects site, as always, is at http://sgdk2.enigmadream.com/.

Hey bluemonkmn,

I decided to see if my old template for fighting games "tkd remake" still worked and I tried it with SGDK2.2.  It's pretty strange, it won't compile.  I get this eror message when I compile: "Sprite Rule  |  Player/End If Not IsNotFreeMoving  |  Mismatchd End".  So pretty easy error mesage to handle, but when I get to the "mismatched" end, it's not mismatched at all.  If I select the "end rule" in the rules tree view, I get this message in the rule editor form: "The specified function name could not be located or the project failed to compile."  I get this error for every "end rule" I select...  So I deleted and recreated the "end rules", same behavior.  Can you test it on your SGDK2?

Also, I downloaded LoK:Revival source to test it too, but my download keeps dying along the way.  No error message, it simply stops.  First time it was after 7 megs, then 12 megs.  I got the same behavior with the old repository  Anyone else got the same problem?

Did you check all your projects, or just happen to pick the one difficult one? :)
Yes, I actually spent a good deal of time (maybe 1/2 hour) on that one to make it work, but I have not yet released the version of SGDK2.2 with which it will work. There's a bug in SGDK 2.2.2 that completely ignores the existence of a rule if it doesn't have a function name assigned. It should acknowledge If statements (even when they are disabled and when they have no function name) as something that starts a nested block (because that's what the tree view does -- the code generator needs to do the same). It is properly acknowledging disabled If statements as such, but it is not acknowledging rules with no function name. You may have noticed my text "Updated by Benjamin Marty on 3/31/2012 to work with SGDK 2.2.3," and SGDK 2.2.3 doesn't exist yet, but when I release it, TDK Remake should work fine with it.  (The source of the problem was actually some disabled rules deeply nested a few rows above the error rule).

lol!  Well, I only have TKD Remake and Lok:Revival to test.  Since I didn't get to successfully download LoK...  Yeah, I only tested TKD remake. :)
Yes, I did notice that it was suppoed so work with SGDK2.2.3 and then I went back to the download page of SGDK2 and found out the latest version was 2.2.2.  So I thought it could be one of these two things: typo in the project listing or you were about to release another version of SGDK2.  I'm going to try it wth SGDK 2.2.3 some time this week. Thanks!

Is there a reason you weren't able to download LoK with which I should be concerned?
