Wow... so it wasn't just the fact that I was logging in from a different computer that made the forums look so different this time. The switch finally happened. Looks good mostly so far. One problem I have noticed is that I can't use the "Mark Read" links. It says something about being unable to validate the session. The Flash support looks interesting. Not sure if it'll be useful, but it's the first time I've seen flash support in forums, so that caught my attention. Now I'll have to look into what support there is for user levels and themes.
Ooh, I like the support for attachements. Now we can attach simple gamedev projects righ to the thread to which they apply. I guess that has it's advantages and disadvantages... on the plus side, anybody (I assume) can now post a little project that they have a question about without looking for separate hosting. But (on the other hand) I might have to excercise a little discipline if I want to continue to maintain a central location for all the demo projects (projects like those at
http://gamedevprj.sf.net/files/) so we can find them when we don't remember where the thread was. But it's good to have the option.
