I realize most (if not all) of you have never played my game, and probably haven't even seen the few screenshots vie posted (aside from the moon boss), so just bear with me, and post anything you feel is relevant. I

Alright, it's feedback ya want, eh?  Well, it's some feedback ya gonna get hea (to be said with an annoying northern accent).

I downloaded this..."game" the time you posted it on the server you mention in the above post.  It didn't take me long, i guess because I have a monster computer, and from what i have gathered while observin' all you little sheep here, you guys don't.  Anyway, on to the feedback.  I went into this game in high hopes it could be better then those..."good" GuildHall(is that their name?) games, and ultimately it wasn't.  I liked it sorta, but more so not.  The character was stale, and I mean 2x4 stale.  It didn't talk much, and when it did, weeellll, let's just say i got pissed off thinking it was a digitized avatar of you(lol, yuck).  I mean, come on, put some thought into your characters.  Shigeru Miyamoto isn't a fat plumer who runs around saving a princess, now is he?  Anyway.  The level designs were boring.  Wait, sorry I didn't imphasize that, they were BORING.  They were ALL the same, and the bosses didn't last that long to even be mentioned.  Except the last one, PHEW!!! That went on for FAR too long, buddy.  Shorten the time, please, and maybe people wont give up on it when they get to it.  Wait, this is getting long, i gotta break paragraph.

Anyway, It was pretty offensive.  I mean I'm a regular 23 year old guy, ok?  But I don't want to grab a few porno mags, read up on them, get offended and feel stupid all in the while I'm trying to fiqure out what the hell they do!!  Oh, and my favorite offensive tower of immaturity...Wait, wait, I'll immitate it:

You walk into a cave and find...
[My heart begins to race thinking there is some sort of a saving grace]

  a...
[I proceed, excited]

  DILDO!!
[My head slams on the desk, laughing at how either you are a sad, sad, 18 year old young guy with a strange liking toward a... *ahem* dildo... or the game strapped on an anchor to quickin it's way to hell]

Yeah, I didn't like that too much.  Let's see, you also ripped graphics, attempted at making it funny and screwed up at it, and also tried to drag the game on to a lon, LONG extent to try and make it seem like a meaty game.  I mean, the beginning is as primitive as SGDK games get, and the later levels are a little more advanced, so it seems like you " Ahh, hell d00de, I'll keep dis game on stand by, ya know?"  and then a few months later came back with new knowledge, so it feels a little crappy that way.

Phew, so much negetives, I should note some positives:

*crickets chirp*

Heh, maybe theres one thing... It looked a little more complete then other SGDK games I've played.  Also, it....wait nope, that's it.  Now, don't take that one positive and run around with your head inflated yelling out: " D00DE!! I BE POLISHED!!!"  The negetives are still there and are pretty heavy.  I mean a big, big pile heavier then the positives...oh, I mean positive.

So, really, man, I think the concept is great: A funny little game with jokes from your circle of freinds packed into a lengthy game.  You could really run with that idea, Billybob884!  I think you have great potential, you just gotta get a feel for what others like/want so you can be a better developer.  So, don'y go off thinking I hate you!(even if the thought of the character being the creator is a little crappy)  I would like to see this idea go further, in a right direction.  I was going to mention several crashes, but I understand that it's not, rather, it wasn't the complete version.  So, do good, alright sir?

How excatly does the Dildo make him immortal, and how does he...use it?

  Nevermind...

*walks out*

as per the dildo, you shoot it to become invincible; and what crashes did you find? the only one i've ever seen was the video problem (described in another topic). well, other then that, thats basically what i expected to hear from someone whos not privy to all the jokes, no offense meant. it wasn't really meant for the "online community" (or anyone outside of my 'group'), and thats pretty much the way its going to stay. as for it seeming primitive in the beginning, thats mostly because ive been learning the builder as i go along, so again, no surprise. ripped graphics - yes, i admitted in the credits that i 'borrowed' them from many places, some i credited, but i havent kept very good records of where i had taken the others from. as 'unbelieveable' as it may seem, i did actually make quite a number of the graphics myself, as a rough guess, i'd say at least 70%. but like (durnurd?) stated before, out of all the things you do for a game, they do take up the most time. anyways, thanks for the response.

that all being said, i cant wait to hear what bluemonkmn gives it oncei  finally give it the green to be put up on the projects listing  ;)

I won't give away my full review now, but I had to remark on the comments from hebedaymun.  Sounds slightly familiar... like the comments of someone we've heard from before who tends to try to play on people's insecurities to achieve maximum insult.  I think it's all too easy for a relatively anonymous user who has never faced the challenge of completing a game before to criticize others' games.  It's awfully harsh; there are a few elements of truth to it, but I have a really hard time accepting the harshness and I certainly think that review takes undue "pleasure" in exaggerating the negative and ignoring the positive -- very biased.  I think even the pros (those who are used to reviewing commercial quality polished products) would give this game a more positive review than that... and might even give it a gleaming review in the realm of freeware.  Needless to say I disagree with most of that review, and hope that you won't be dicouraged by such comments.  I'll save the rest of my comments on the game itself for the review. :-X
